Parish members are encouraged to participate in the ministries and activities of the parish [Examples: choir, lector, usher, fish fry, Religious Education].
It is Diocesan policy that BEFORE beginning a ministry or activity, the Safe Environment steps must be completed by all volunteers - 18 years of age and older.
Visit www.diopitt.org and go to Protection of Children and Youth in the left column. You can read the letter from Bishop Zubik explaining how important the Safe Environment process is. Start the first step by clicking on Safe Environment Data Base.
Rose Morgan is the Safe Environment Coordinator for Corpus Christi Parish.
There is an update for the Safe Environment every five years. Rose Morgan will contact volunteers about how to do the update.
Those who have begun the process, but are not complete are asked to finish the steps soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Whatever certificates or documents you get on line or from Pennsylvania Human Services, give these to Rose Morgan to be in your file.
Contact Rose Morgan our Safe Environment Coordinator to begin or to complete the process: [email protected] 412-672-0765 x 6 for more information or to set up a time to meet with Rose.
She is available to meet with you at the parish office on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm!
