Our St. Christopher Ministry, which is aimed at providing transportation for people to attend Mass, will have two forms of transportation for those unable to get to Mass on their own.
65 and Over and/or Disabled
If you are 65 or older and/or disabled, you qualify for ACCESS. ACCESS is a coordinated, shared-ride paratransit service, which has been providing door-to-door, advanced reservation transportation in Allegheny County since 1979. The parish will act as the third-party sponsor. Thus, the parish will pay for the use of ACCESS for all parish events, Mass, Holy Hours, Festival, etc.
All Others
For those not qualifying for ACCESS, we are instituting a volunteer system. That is, we will match drivers with riders for Mass. To be a driver, you must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. In addition, drivers must complete Safe Environment.
Please contact the Parish Center at 412-672-9641:
· If you are 65 and over and/or disabled and would like to use ACCESS to attend Mass.
· If you do not qualify for ACCESS and would like to be driven to Mass by a parish volunteer.
· If you would like to be a volunteer driver in taking another to Mass.
